Installation 2021 (exhibition in bunker Soratte)
The Length : 30 meters
This installation wants to remember all those who lived through a war, like the author, who lost their lives in a war they didn't want.
Boys suddenly torn from their affections and lost in unknown lands.
The handkerchief, which is often used to greet, to make a signal, to send a message, to dry tears, collects some thoughts of these boys who became soldiers, who tried until the last day of their existence to remain attached to life .
From the collection of many letters from soldiers, reported in the book "The Last Front" by Nuto Revelli, the artist has extracted some passages that struck her most.
Tied by a thread, one next to the other, they rest their feelings, often poignant, on a hand of wind that caresses them along the journey.
“Do not let go of our hands, so that one of us is left behind.
The hands,
hands are important."
